Wow..happy Winter I should say!

We have about 16 inches of snow here in Rainier!  It really is beautiful, mostly
because we do not have to go out in it today...the kids H.S. is cancelled today
and my husband is also home and I have cancelled work for myself.  So it is a
play day for us!  I hope you are all safe and warm as I write this.

Lots to tell for Jan and into Feb.
Just came back from my first retreat that I co hosted with the gals from
"Scrapyard Chicks"  It was a 4 day event at the Fall Creek Retreat Center
ouside of Raymond.  Let me tell you what a blast we had!  the facilities were the
best ever, lots of room, tons of food, (too much actually) and so much room to
crop.....It was really really great!  And the surroundings were beautiful too.  We
are talking about doing another retreat with them...possibly in July.
Classes for January:
1ST Wed of each month we play "BUNCO"...it is open for everyone, $5.00 gets
you in and we donate most of the money to the Susan G Komen fund
2ND Friday of the month I have my "scrapbook club"  also open to everyone.
$20.00 gets you 2 double page layouts that I design and then I kit up and we put
them together, together.  I also try to teach a new technique each month.
This month Scrapbook club has been changed to The 3rd Friday because of the
retreat!
Jan 21st 2012  Saturday, is a fabulous Album mini using the Echo Parks
"Wintertime" paper....(seems it was planned perfectly)...check out he the
classes page on the website for more details

Jan 28th 2012 Saturday is another cool class ...it is a "Artsy altered Heart Box"
very cool, using some fun techniques with "glossy accents"...see picture and
description on website.

I would like to start up the Used Product Sale (UPS) again...please let me know
what you think about that!  This would take place the last Friday and Saturday of
the month, you can bring in slightly used and unwanted scrap and card making
supplies and sell the at the store...actually, I would sell them, you price them and
you get in-store credit for what was sold.
But since my new store is so small, you would be required to do the pick up Sat
after the sale.  I cannot store any of your items.  Please give me feed back for
this idea.

4Th Friday of each month  We are going to start a new club....It is going to be
called "Project Life my Way"   The club is FREE  There are NO rules, we will just
meet at the store at 6 pm (or earlier if you can) and work with the product we
already own, get our photos into an album. and journal as we see fit.....not on
every page, not in a particular place, lets just get together and socialize and
share ideas...I have already started, please feel free to come by and see the
album that I have started!  You will be inspired!

We are also starting another club...this is going to be a "CHALLENGE
club"...each month you can buy a kit...$20.00 and everyone gets the same kit.  In
this kit we will have paper, card stock, embellishments such as ribbon, flowers,
die cuts, bling etc.  And you will create something.  Every ones will be different.
You may have created a mini album, and someone else may create a double
page layout or a wall hanging or and altered project.  You are limited only by
your own imaginations.  We will then meet at the same time next month and
SHARE with the group what we have made, and pick up our "NEW" kits.

That is all for now,
take care,,,,,,,
stay warm and safe............
spread kindness!
